one of my characters Jack Hunter (a mercenary mongoose) wielding a "bolt gun" based on an intresting tool I found at my local hardware store; a gun used to fasten wood to concrete by firing metal bolts with real gunpowder cartridges....wicked, huh?
uhh... i see a Bolt on the back of it Yet the mag in front of the trigger is full of 12Ga shotgun ammunition. i don't see how the mag would work either.. don't get me wrong it looks really cool but i dont see how it works...
also, as its supposedly a tool, fired into surfaces at point blank range(that`s actually how the real tool works!)accuracy isn`t an issue so there`s no barrel at all. sort of thing you pick up when you`re surrounded by zombies, no escape, and your only weapons are a paring knife and a line trimmer.XD
lol, yeah, I know it isn`t very accurate, but the ridges I put on the tip of the ammunition was supposed to look sort of like these: [link] either way, I didn`t follow the real tool`s design, or name(powder actuated tools) I actually kinda based it off a staple gun XD
not bad, not bad at all, certainly looks bad ass. though to be honest the epic nerd in me thinks of a different weapon when someone says "bolt gun" specifically a bolter from WH40k [link] which fires explosive bolts at 3-round bursts, just me though. but it really is a cool looking weapon, it's like an upgraded nail gun. must make a real mess when he's done.
Which now explains why I keep hearing that name to describe a weapon completely different from the wh40k one I was just saying that sine that was the first weapon I'd heard of to have that name it's what comes to mind when i hear it. it's not a criticism just a look into my own thinking. but still i like it, very mad max-Esc.
whoa...I`d love to try one of those out. I saw a non working demo version at the local hardware store (of course that was a while ago and I just made this one up, so I got a feeling the real thing looks nothing like this!)
